Not my profile picture, but a similar one. Sunset in Collingwood. Photo by author, on Pexels.

I’ve not yet grown fond of Ontario, city life in Toronto, or suburban life on the cusp of it, but I’ve been fortunate to have been to a lot of places in my home province, including a few that are much prettier than home.

Below, and above are some images of a road trip to Collingwood, Ontario.

I’d show you pictures of Toronto to help you understand why it’s a challenging place to live in, but I figured it’s better to stick with positive photography rather than images of poverty or dirty streetcars — plus I don’t have any as all my photos of Toronto are quite positive, relative to what I’ve seen in the media.

Collingwood, author’s photo, probably on Pexels as well but I can’t remember.

For those who don’t know, Collingwood is a small town in the province of Ontario by Georgian Bay. Toronto has Lake Ontario, bright lights, and vibrant atmospheres; Collingwood has Lake Huron, and a bit more peace and quiet. I suppose it depends whether you’re a city mouse or a country mouse.
